Let’s talk processes!

People ask all the time if they should be doing things manually, such as using spreadsheets to track expenses.

If you are not planning on growing your business then it is totally ok not to have an accounting software or not to invest in setting up processes for your business.

Now, if you are planning for growth, I can’t reinforce it enough. Start setting up processes (the earlier the better). This may seem pointless if you are barely starting but this will be key.

Here’s why you need processes in place:

✨ accounting software: you will understand the ins and outs of using an accounting software, once you start growing it will not seem as overwhelming or complicated

✨ business process: once you are ready to hire, you will have a process on how to do tasks so it is easier to transfer those responsibilities

✨ sales process: define your sales process so when you are ready to hire it is easier to take over.

✨Finance process: establish how you get paid, how you pay vendor, when your bookkeeper reconciles your accounting and when you review your finances.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Doing the work at an early stage is the shortcut, but even if you have grown your business, it’s not too late to start defining your business processes.
